Loving Felt!
I tend to be very crafty! Always have been since i was a small child doing ceramics with my grandma. From ceramics, to painting, crochet, or whatever it might be, i find lately i am loving felting! I recently just discovered how to felt. So far i only machine felt - but i am really thinking about getting into needle felting. And what i really love to do is find old wool sweaters, from ebay, or friends who dont want theirs anymore, or goodwill, wherever, and felt them up to use. IT's perfect, because the yare already knitted, and usually have a beautiful design on them! And, once felted turn out just like something brand new! I have been then making purses and bags out of them. some sweaters are so big still i can manage to make more than one item out of it. But i love doing it this way because its upcycling, something someone might just toss out because of a small hole, i can turn into something really pretty and different to be loved for many years to come! As i go deeper into felting more, you are sure to see lots pop up in my etsy shop! so be sure to check often! :) |
